Recently we were sent some lovely, sparkly, colourful Hatchimals Royal Snow Ball Pixies.
They are the Royal Snow Ball variety, and the kids were beside themselves when they set their eyes on these!
Fin has always had an interest in surprise toys, fueled by his obsession for watching youtube toy reviews.
We have never bought Hatchimals before, so Fin was particularly excited to open the blue one.
Indi was equally eager to rip the packet open and get cracking.
She chose the pink one.

What’s In The Hatchimals Pixies Box?
- An egg that turns into a stage for the Pixie
- 3 Pixie accessories (sunglasses, tiara and bracelet)
- Instructions
- Hatchimals Pixies range leaflet
The box is easily opened (I get so fed up of toys that you practically need a grenade and a saw to open), and the egg is encased in a plastic layer of packaging to keep it intact.
How Do Hatchimals Royal Snow Ball Pixies Work?
The aim is to show the egg some love, and rub the heart until is changes colour slightly.
One the heart has changed colour, the egg feels ready to crack open.
I think you’re meant to slowly open the egg, getting into the spirit of the hatching process, but…
Of course, my kids, being the exciteable pixies they are, smashed the eggs open like a pair of hungry hyenas.
Within the egg was a very cute, sparkly-haired pixie with wobbly little wings.
There was also a little pack of pixie accessories, which contained sunglasses, a teeny bracelet and a tiara.
Once all of the egg is broken away, it reveals a little twirly stage for the Hatchimals Royal Snow Ball Pixie.

For interactivity, this Hatchimals Royal Snow Ball Pixies range is great.
Their pouty lips, huge eyes and glitter hair dos make them attractive to sit in a display or on a shelf.
The excitement for kids is in the ‘surprise’ element of them, and the fun in collecting the entire collection hooks them in for life!
Take a look at the full Hatchimals range.
