What would a trip to The Big Apple be without a famous Broadway show on the cards? There are Broadway tickets to suit everyone – if you love musicals you’ve got plenty of choices here. Chicago, The Lion King, and Wicked are always classic, popular performances. As well, with New York’s theatre district home to 39 different venues, you’re spoilt for choice. Watching a show here should be on everyone’s bucket list, even if it’s not typically your thing.
Check Out the Famous Filming Locations

So many well-known films and TV shows are set and shot in New York. Sex in the City, Friends, Spiderman… It seems that everywhere you go in this city, you’re not far away from a familiar scene. So, if you love your film and TV, why not go check out some of the most famous spots? You’ve got the iconic Katz’s Delicatessen (from When Harry Met Sally), Central Park (seen in Home Alone 2, amongst many others), or you can even visit the apartment from Friends.
Shop ‘Til You Drop
Like most big cities, you have endless shopping opportunities in New York. However, NYC does have a slight edge, with the likes of Macy’s on 5th Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, and Tiffany & Co. There are plenty of well-known areas that offer great shopping choices, such as SoHo or the Meatpacking District. So, why not treat yourself on your trip? Or you could find some special gifts to take back with you. You’ll be able to find anything and everything you need in New York.
Eat Your Heart Out
The eateries you can visit in New York are exceptional, and you have such an incredibly vast amount of choice. Authentic cuisine from all around the world is at your fingertips. However, whilst you’re in the area, you should try to sample some good old-fashioned New York-style pizzas and hotdogs, as this is what the east coast is famed for!
See the Iconic Landmarks

You’re never short of things to see in New York, and you definitely shouldn’t neglect to tick off some of the most famous scenes in the world. From the Statue of Liberty to The Empire State Building, whilst you’re close by, you should definitely see what all the hype is about. These landmarks have interesting backstories to them too, so have yourself a little history lesson whilst you’re at it!
