Life is full of stress, and kids can be hard to manage, so looking after your wellbeing as a busy mum needs to be a priority.
The reality is that if you feel good, you’re more likely to perform better in all areas of your life.
Motherhood is an adventure you can never fully prepare for.
It has as many twists and turns as your favourite drama series, in addition to comedy you’d find in a hit sitcom.
It can also be very demanding, so learning how to let your hair down and relax is a necessity.
1. Get Organised

Any mother anywhere in the world can probably agree that being organised helps reduce a great deal of stress.
Look at the areas of your day that feel the most stressful and identify why. Once you can do so, look for ways to reduce that stress by planning ahead.
If you notice you’re stressed before the school run, how about creating a system for organising the kid’s belongings?
You could also try using planners or apps to schedule your days and set reminders as that should help too.
2. Update Your Wardrobe

Being a mum doesn’t have to mean you’re on zombie mode or wearing two different shoes most days of the week.
Try to dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable and reminds you of how uniquely beautiful you are.
For many mums, comfort is their top priority, and you can be both comfortable and fashionable at the same time.
Try adding quality jeans, stylish tops, and statement accessories to your wardrobe.
3. Give Yourself Credit, Busy Mum!

If you want to look and feel good as a busy mum, learn to give yourself credit.
Most mothers tend to be the hardest on themselves, but instead of criticizing yourself, focus on all of the things you’re doing right.
One way to go about doing this would be by journaling and writing down everything you’re grateful for and your accomplishments too.
4. Pursue Your Dreams

Although this is easier said than done, it is never too late to live out your dreams.
As a mum, you may feel you have to sacrifice everything for your kids, but your happiness matters too.
Even if you don’t have the time or energy to live out your dreams fully, take little steps towards making them happen instead of disregarding them altogether.
Sometimes it means you may have to set realistic timelines because it could take longer for them to come to life as a result of the demands of motherhood
5. Live In The Moment

At times, mums are so busy planning for the future that they forget to live in the present.
Try to step away from the chaos and live in the moment so that you enjoy watching your kids grow and yourself grow in the process.
Modern-day lifestyles affect family life as people seemingly have less time to spend with one another.
Make quality time a priority so that you can enjoy the family you’re working hard to keep together.
